Tom Byrnes is also an accomplished artist, in both traditional fine art and graphic art.
Tom has also sold numerous oil paintings and drawings to interested buyers. His art work is also on permanent display at the John Glenn Institute at Ohio State University, is owned by former US Senators or their estates and was on public display in the US Capitol Building and the Adams Morgan and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods of Washington, DC for a decade or longer.

John Coltrane: 2015 oil painting, based on a black and white album cover photo.
Alexander Calder: 2015 oil painting, based on a black and white 1931 Man Ray photo of the artist. Calder made many mobiles in primary colors.

President Pro Tem: 1997 graphite portrait of the late US Senator Robert C. Byrd. This portrait hung in the US Capitol Building until his death in 2010.
Bobby: 2015 oil painting of former US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.
Friendship 7: 1998 graphite drawing of John Glenn’s Friendship 7 space capsule. Artwork was used for a program by the National Air & Space Museum.
Glenn Presentation: Tom presenting the Friendship 7 artwork to Mr. and Mrs. John Glenn at the National Air & Space Museum in 1998, where it was displayed for an evening event commemorating Glenn’s return to space that year.
