As relayed on the campaigns page of this website, Tom Byrnes is an accomplished expert in all key facets of public, business and candidate campaigns, and has amassed a campaign success record among the very best in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Political consulting is often as important in corporate, business and advocacy campaigns as it is in campaigns for political candidates, and while Tom has a long and impressive record of success across the political consulting spectrum, it is in candidate campaigns where Tom’s work is most cited.
Having delivered victory to Virginia candidates for public office in more than two dozen campaigns, the 24 featured political campaigns at left best describe the breadth of this success:
Of the 24 races featured in the left column, more than half represent landslide victories, with double-digit margins of victory and percentage point differences between the winner and defeated candidate(s).
Seventeen of the races at left pitted two opponents vying for election to one office. In those 17 campaigns, over a third had margins of victory over 20 percentage points, with 4 of that third achieving or exceeding 30 percentage points — including one winner whose margin of victory measured 52 percentage points!
A half-dozen of these one-on-one races also represented upset victories over the incumbent, with half of those upsets being absolute blowouts, with margins of victory in the double-digits (measuring as high as 32 percentage points between the two candidates).
Of the 24 races featured in the left column, seven pitted three or four opponents vying for election to one office. In those 7 campaigns, three of the winners Tom represented received more votes than all the opposing candidates combined, with a fourth winner missing that prestigious mark by just one percentage point.
Tom not only knows how to repeatedly win, he knows how to repeatedly win big.
Note: Percentages shown in left column are percents of all votes, not margins of victory, which are the percentage differences between votes received by the candidates.
